Outdoor Classroom

Each garden is our outdoor classroom, but many schools have a space within the garden where students can sit and instructors can present.

At Creative Science School, this is the primary sit down area, complete with chalkboards.

Both the table and the chalkboards are great. The table holds about 11 students. Each group we take out has 15 students.

I've been using paper bags as additional seats and or writing surfaces for those who choose to sit on the soil.

These bags get used 10-15 times before they move on to another incarnation.

We re-use the best we can with the materials around us. And try to be creative.
