Hands-on/minds-on education and place-based practices are implemented into all facets of the project. Portland Earth Art and Agriculture Project is Work-Trade founded, where equal value is placed on skills, time, and resources as a means to pay for any programmatic offerings. These trades and skills are used interchangeably among all initiatives under one umbrella. All prices for programs or products are based upon a sliding scale to balance monetary necessities. Portland Earth Art and Agriculture Project is committed to civic-responsibility, and is based on mutual trust between organization and participants in programs and Work-Trade. Additionally, the organization is committed to using local and/or repurposed products whenever possible.
